Starting Northwestern Week Off Right

Last time Penn State visited Evanston, they were 3-0, unranked despite victories over South Florida, Cincinnati, and Central Michigan in the preseason schedule.  The year was 2005, and Michael Robinson showed what magic the season would have in store, when he led the Lions to an incredible come-from-behind win over the Wildcats, converting a 4th and 15 pass to tight end Isaac Smolko with just 1 minute and 39 seconds remaining.  Less than 50 seconds later, it would be Derrick Williams hauling in a 36-yard touchdown pass from Robinson, as Penn State capped off one of their most memorable drives of all time.

    If that 4th and 15 play goes incomplete, or for not enough yards, the whole season takes a different turn. No co-Big Ten championship, no BCS hype, no triple OT against Florida State in the Orange Bowl.

    Also, I love how Northwestern uses the same lion growl sound effect that Penn State does.
